Coffee naturally contains oils that accumulate inside the machine and form a rancid substance. These leftover residues can cause a foul odor and affect the taste of your coffee, making it taste bitter or sour. In addition, the leftover coffee residues can cause blockages in filters and pipes, which can lead to malfunctions in your espresso machine.
To keep your espresso machine in top condition and ensure fresh, flavorful, and deliciously fragrant coffee, it is important to clean your machine daily. The Cafiza Cleaning Tablets are available in different sizes, including the E31 variant with a weight of 2.0 grams and a diameter of 15 mm.
The daily use of the Cafiza Cleaning Tablets works as follows:
- Place a blind filter in the portafilter and add 1 Cafiza Cleaning Tablet.
- Place the portafilter in the group and turn on the machine for 10 seconds. Then stop for 10 seconds and repeat this 5-10 times.
- Remove the portafilter with the blind filter and flush the group.
- Place the portafilter with the blind filter back in the group and repeat step 2 without the Cafiza Cleaning Tablet 5-10 times to flush the machine.
- Brew an espresso and discard it to ensure that no residue remains in the group.
During the cleaning process, you can also soak the filter baskets and portafilters in a container of warm water with a dissolved Cafiza Cleaning Tablet (1 tablet per liter) for 30 minutes. Then thoroughly rinse them with warm water.
