Urnex Cafiza Cleaning Powder (900 gram)

Urnex Cafiza Cleaning Powder is a concentrated formula specially designed for cleaning piston machines. With this cleaning powder, you can thoroughly clean and backflush the group heads of your espresso machine.

Instructions for use for professional espresso machines:

1. Place a blind filter in the portafilter and add up to 1/2 teaspoon (3 g) of Cafiza Cleaning Powder. Place the portafilter in the group head.
2. Activate the brewing process for 10 seconds. Stop for 10 seconds. Repeat this 5 times.
3. Remove the portafilter. Activate the brewing process and rinse the portafilter with water from the group head. Stop the brewing process.
4. Place the portafilter back into the group head. Repeat step (2) without Cafiza Cleaning Powder 5 times.
5. Make a cup of espresso and discard it to ensure no residue remains.

Soak:

1. Soak filters and the metal parts of the portafilter in 1 teaspoon (6 g) of Cafiza Cleaning Powder per 32 oz (1 L) of hot water for 30 minutes.
2. Rinse with clean hot water.

Instructions for use for coffee makers:

1. Empty the coffee maker. Sprinkle 1/2 teaspoon (3 g) of Cafiza Cleaning Powder per 64 oz (2 L) capacity of the machine directly into the filter basket.
2. Run a full brewing cycle in each pot and let it sit for 30 minutes.
3. Empty each pot and rinse all parts with clean hot water.

TIP: Dampen a cloth with a solution of Cafiza Cleaning Powder and wipe the spray heads, then wipe clean. Note: the solution can be very hot.

Instructions for use for coffee roasters:

1. Mixing ratio - 50 parts hot water to 1 part Cafiza Cleaning Powder. Mix hot water and Cafiza Cleaning Powder in a large sink or basin.
2. Soak storage containers in the cleaning solution for a few minutes, open and close any lids or dispensing mechanisms.
3. Remove from the cleaning solution and dip in a container of clean water. Rinse with running water.
4. Air dry or wipe with a cloth.

Removable parts of the coffee roaster:

1. Mixing ratio - 30 parts hot water to 1 part Cafiza Cleaning Powder.
2. Remove any parts that can be cleaned by immersion or soaking.
3. Mix hot water and Cafiza Cleaning Powder in a large sink or basin. Let the coffee roaster parts soak for a few minutes.
4. Rinse in a container of clean water.
5. Rinse with running water.
6. Dry and inspect all parts.

Non-removable parts of the coffee roaster:

1. Mix four tablespoons of Cafiza Cleaning Powder with 1 liter of hot water in a spray bottle.
2. Spray the parts generously with the solution and wipe clean. Some parts may require multiple treatments.

Packaging equipment:

1. Mix four tablespoons of Cafiza Cleaning Powder with 1 liter of hot water in a spray bottle.
2. Spray the hoppers, spouts, and all surfaces that come into contact with coffee thoroughly with the solution.
3. Wipe the surfaces clean with a sponge. Keep the sponge clean by rinsing it regularly with clean water.

Always follow the cleaning and disassembly instructions provided by the manufacturer. All mixing ratios can be adjusted if a stronger solution is desired. Use rubber gloves and eye protection for comfort and safety.
