The grouphead gasket is essential for the proper functioning of the espresso machine. The thickness of the gasket can vary depending on the wear of the machine. Therefore, the BaristaPro E61 groupset includes multiple gaskets, including an 8.5 mm thick gasket. By default, an 8 mm gasket is installed in the grouphead, but if the grouphead or portafilter is worn, a thicker gasket can be used to reduce the movement of the portafilter to the right.
In addition, a paper spacer ring of 0.5 mm can also be added. This is a convenient solution to see if it makes a difference in the performance of the espresso machine.
