The IMS Competition Shower Screen RA35WM 57mm with the integrated membrane shower screen is made of a single filter part in stainless steel, obtained through photo-etching: special micro-perforations are made in the thickness of the shower to obtain a filtering capacity of 200 µm.

The main feature is the exclusive design of the perforations, which not only guarantees better distribution, but also lasts longer and is easy to clean. Because the shower screen is made in one piece, it is stronger and the surface is completely smooth and free of rough spots where dirt can accumulate.

We have developed three different filter technologies to achieve different results according to your needs.

• WM : WIRE MEMBRANE - The shower consists of a membrane of woven stainless steel wires applied to the shower head through a sealing process. The main feature is the very high filtering capacity of 35 µm, which blocks the passage of extraction residue during the drying process. This helps to keep the group clean and efficient. Additionally, it protects both the group and the solenoid valve from deterioration caused by dirt. This shower head provides good turbulence, so it is better with fresh coffee or a blend. It is important to keep the shower clean, so proper maintenance is essential.
• IM : INTEGRATED MEMBRANE - The integrated membrane shower head is made of a single filter part in stainless steel obtained through photo-etching. The main feature is the exclusive design of the perforations, which not only guarantees better distribution, but also lasts longer and is easy to clean. It represents a good compromise between water distribution and turbulence. It helps to improve extraction and highlights the sweet and fruity notes of your coffee.
• R: REINFORCED MEMBRANE - These shower heads are made of a 0.8 mm thick, highly hardened steel support disc, combined with a photo-etched membrane with a filtering capacity of 200 µm. The smooth and easy-to-clean membrane and the reinforced disc form a perfectly flat unit. This ensures a homogeneous distribution of water. Additionally, the reinforced disc guarantees greater resistance, so it is perfect for intensive use or overdosing. It has a more homogeneous water distribution than the integrated membrane shower head and highlights the sweetness and floral notes of your coffee.

Nanotech coating

To improve the percolation process, IMS offers a high-quality coating using quartz nanotechnology, the NANOTECH coating, for integrated and reinforced membrane shower heads. The advantage of this technology is the hydrophobic effect. Water comes down in small droplets that are evenly distributed over the entire surface of the shower head, saturating the coffee uniformly and highlighting all the flavors of your coffee. Additionally, this coating makes it easier to remove used coffee grounds and also makes it easier to clean, making the antibacterial properties of the surfaces extremely effective.
