The code of the IMS Competition products provides information about the characteristics of the shower screen. The different filtering technologies offer different results depending on your needs.

IMS offers three different filtering technologies:

WM (Wire Membrane): The shower screen is made of a membrane of woven stainless steel wires with a very high filtering capacity of 35 µm. It helps keep the group clean and efficient and protects both the group and the solenoid valve from dirt. This shower screen provides good turbulence and is suitable for fresh coffee or blends.
IM (Integrated Membrane): The integrated membrane shower screen is made of a single filter part in stainless steel with microperforations of 200 µm. It has an exclusive design of the perforations, which makes it last longer and easy to clean. This shower screen ensures good water distribution and improves extraction, emphasizing the sweet and fruity notes of your coffee.
R (Reinforced Membrane): These shower screens are made of a 0.8 mm thick, highly tempered steel support disc combined with a membrane with a filtering capacity of 200 µm. It ensures homogeneous water distribution and has greater resistance. This shower screen is perfect for intensive use or overdosing and emphasizes the sweetness and floral notes of your coffee.

IMS also offers a nanotech coating for the integrated and reinforced membrane shower screens. This coating has a hydrophobic effect and ensures even water distribution over the entire surface of the shower screen. It facilitates the removal of used coffee pads and makes cleaning easier, making the antibacterial properties of the surfaces highly effective.
