We are proud to offer you coffee from Kenya: rare but exceptionally delicious. Coffee from small-scale plantations where local farmers cultivate beans with a unique taste and an unforgettable aroma. Our Kenyan coffee beans are sweet, fruity, and robust in flavor. The aftertaste is dry, like a beautiful white wine. Coffee for a wakeful morning, a relaxing afternoon, a cozy evening.
Origin
70% of the coffee from Kenya is handpicked on small coffee plantations. Plantations on volcanic soil, more than 1400 meters above sea level. Each harvest is rigorously controlled and sorted by quality and size of the beans.
After the labor-intensive harvest, Kenyan coffee farmers bring their freshly picked coffee beans to a centrally located ‘washing station’. There, the beans are washed and dried in the hot African sun.
Taste
Our Kenyan coffee beans are sweet, fruity, and robust in flavor. The aftertaste is dry like a beautiful white wine due to the refined combination of sweet and sour tones. Some coffee connoisseurs even detect a hint of milk chocolate.

Responsible
Kenya has a unique system for auctioning coffee beans that guarantees a transparent distribution chain of ‘green’ coffee. Auctions take place at the Nairobi Coffee Exchange, where a minimum price is set for each auction. This ensures coffee farmers receive a fair price for their product. The Nairobi Coffee Exchange quarterly publishes the sales figures of the coffee beans on its website. Reports can be downloaded via: Nairobicoffeeexchange.co.ke
The Local Bean Brothers not only pay a fair price for our coffee but also aim to give the family, the village, the environment of our coffee farmers a fair chance. A chance for clean water, education, employment. That's why we donate 25% of our profits to local projects that create opportunities for people and the environment.
